Forum Educates Youth On Racism
A series of forums geared towards multicultural children was launched this month in Jamaica, New York. It was designed to combat racism and promote cultural understanding among young people. Children are able to ask panelists questions as well as learn about topics that are considered a taboo to talk about in America. This is an excellent way for children to get in touch with the racial issues prevalent in America and to discuss the damaging effects of discrimination. What are the reasons that hinder America from truly being the "melting pot" of the world?
