Expert tells Parents Bullying is Defined by Victim

"Bullying is a repeated behavior directed toward a weaker individual, which causes physical or emotional discomfort.

"Bullying is determined by the person who is being injured. It's a child's response to incidents that happen," said Dr. Donna Clark Love, a nationally recognized consultant on the issue of bullying. "It is power-based, whether it's physical might, or verbal and social skills. There's always an imbalance of power between the bully and victims."

So remember, it is bullying if your KIDS say it is...not if you THINK it is.
