Dr. Ruth Lyn Meese is Professor of Special Education at Longwood University where she instructs undergraduate and graduate students preparing to be teachers. She has taught students with learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and mental retardation, K-12, in the Virginia Public Schools.
Dr. Meese is the author of two textbooks and numerous articles for special education teachers. In addition, she is the author of Children of Intercountry Adoptions in School: A Primer for Parents and Professionals available through Greenwood Publishing. Dr. Meese is also the mother of an 11-year-old daughter adopted at age 4—from Russia.
